Reservations Open For 2026 Bowron Lake Canoe Circuit On December 2nd

Bowron Lake Canoe Circuit in Bowron Lake Provincial Park will open for the entire 2026 season at 7 a.m. on Dec. 2nd, 2025. Bowron Lake Park is a large area on the western slopes of the Cariboo Mountain Range near Barkerville. It takes six to 10 days to complete, depending on paddlers’ skill level. Those looking for a shorter trip can paddle the west side of the circuit, which takes two to four days. Reservations are required from May 15 until Sept. 27.

People need to be prepared and self-sufficient for this backcountry experience that involves 116 kilometres of paddling across 10 lakes with several portages that require transporting canoes and gear over land.
