R.I.P. Lars Fält

Sad news today, Swedish outdoors expert and author Lars Fält has passed away at the age of 80. He was known for his attention to detail and huge passion for the outdoors.
“Lars’ life was defined by toughness, determination, and dedication. A Swedish military veteran, he founded the Survival School for the Swedish Armed Forces and trained countless soldiers, working with elite units across the world such as the British SAS and the SERE School in the United States. His expertise extended beyond the military, having even trained Sweden’s Crown Princess Victoria in survival skills. Lars was formidable in the wilderness—combining rigour, resilience, and a hands-on approach that made him legendary in bushcraft and survival circles. Beyond his professional achievements, Lars was a man that possessed extraordinary character—dedicated to his family, straight-talking, and generous with his knowledge. Above all, he was an educator, committed to passing on his skills to anyone willing to learn. His influence lives on in the people he taught, the skills he imparted, and the products that bear his name.”
